Fundraise with DonorsChoose For a Nearpod Subscription

Whooo hoooo I recently learned Nearpod is available to purchase through DonorsChoose. I have been using the paid version without regret, but I recently received a notice on Nearpod that I could not add any more lessons because I am nearly out of storage. That made me panic a little, especially when I saw the price for a platinum membership. That was about three weeks ago. Since that time I found out that I could create a DonorsChoose project for Nearpod, I created a project (with match funding) for a Nearpod platinum subscription, and had the project fully funded.

If you are not lucky enough to have a Nearpod district membership you should seek funding through DonorsChoose. You can find the Nearpod and Flocabulary subscriptions under the vendor AKJ Education. The cost of the project will be a bit higher than the $349 price tag with processing fees, fulfillment costs, and DonorsChoose suggested donation. It will likely come to around $452.

Good news though! DonorsChoose has worked hard to make sure teachers can have successful fundraisers. If you are a new teacher you can currently earn $50 towards your first project. You will also receive a one-to-one match during the first week when your friends and family use the code “LIFTOFF.” When you are lucky enough to have a one-to-one match the fundraising goal is split in half. That would mean the platinum subscription for $226 in fundraised money with all of the fees.
